Complementary Ventures is a privately-held holding company headquartered in Minneapolis, MN. Founded in 2025 by Turner Cobden and Jeff Kolb, it owns and operates a family of e-commerce companies: Complementary Commerce, Complementary Fulfillment, and Complementary Ideas. Each subsidiary operates independently under shared ownership and standards.
Structure
Each subsidiary is wholly owned by Complementary Ventures and operated independently under shared leadership. The companies are positioned to complement each other — consulting at Commerce, sourcing at Fulfillment, IP at Ideas — so that work originating in one part of the family can be served by another without leaving it.

Turner Cobden — Founder
Turner grew a small online retailer from under $1M to more than $47M in annual e-commerce sales, building a top-50 marketplace seller across Amazon, eBay, and Walmart. He is the co-founder of Acktify, which provides turnkey direct-to-consumer fulfillment infrastructure to regional distributors.

Jeff Kolb — Co-Founder
Jeff has more than 25 years of experience in retail and e-commerce technology. After a first career in retail, he founded a technology consulting firm and later served as Head of Product Management at an order management SaaS company.
